Designers need to read more. It is obvious from talking and working in design those that do read and those that do not. When I write about “reading”, I specifically mean actual books (and e-books) with some artistic or factual merit, but not magazines, websites or blogs.

Bookshelf

I really like reading, and being a designer I most certainly judge a book by its cover. There is something so much nicer about reading a book that looks good, it feels right and has more authority. This is not a new notion.

Colour

I have been lucky enough to spend a few holidays in Iran over the last few years. I have been to amazing forests, deserts and mountains, and I have only seen small parts of the country.
