I am a designer that focuses on all aspects of three dimensional, communication and experiential design and branding.
I can lead project teams, working with everyone involved from CEOs and directors, to build contractors, and everyone in between.
With my projects, all expressions need to be justified in terms of the brand and brief and stand the scrutiny of real thought and questioning. Nothing can be arbitrary or a matter of personal taste or style.
By getting spatial design to work with graphic and interactive design, I work to create spaces that communicate to people. From Post Office to bookshop to motorshow stand to parent and baby shop, I have designed a range of communicative and engaging environments. I have taken these from thought to built environment, ensuring that brand, business and customer requirements are met.
My work with product and packaging design has given me an understanding of differing perspectives on the customer experience. This is from the communication of the brand story at one end, to the attention to detail of form and material when developing a product. This work has been in conjunction with brand and graphics teams, so that the consumer has a coherent brand experience.
I think it is important to look beyond design, and the work of others to find insight and inspiration. Good work cannot be achieved by "recycling" the thoughts of someone else, but by looking at art, business, trends in society and culture to inform something that can be really new. This makes the design I do have a philosophical standpoint, and not just an aesthetic.
I have worked for some great agencies doing some great work, I have also run my own projects. I love getting involved with anything that is design related, and I could talk about it indefinitely, but perhaps I will just stop here.
Don't hesitate in getting in touch if you want to talk about something design related.
